Installation and Set Up

After you sign up for online backup service, we will help you install the software onto your computer or your server. After installation of the software, you will need to choose a unique encryption key that will be used to encrypt all of your files. You will then set up your backup sets, which are the list of files that you want to backup and the times that you want to do backups. Setting up backup sets is easy, and you have complete control over your backups.

Offsite Backup

Only an internet connection is needed! This completely eliminates the need to purchase expensive backup hardware and/or media. Because the system is completely automated, you don’t have to spend valuable time swapping disks or tapes. The initial backup time will depend on the volume of data begin backed up. Transfer speeds of course depend on the speed of your internet connection.

Restore your data with a single point & click. Even a Single File! Immediately recover your data from the previous night’s backup, or any other backup within your retention period (default retention period set at 28 days). With MSS Data Vault you have instant access to any version of your data files. (If you are an AVImark® User – you cannot restore a single file to the AVImark® program. You will need to contact our Technical Support Team @ 1-877-838-9273 for assistance.) The server software has the capability of recovering multiple versions of a file. If you need to go back in time, you can grab a file or multiple files from last month. Perfect for those times when you accidentally save over a file.
